With the recent declaration by President Donald Trump of the United States of America labelling the Nigerian government as not protecting Nigerian Christians enough against faith based genocide, and threatening to invade Nigeria if things do not change immediately, the following questions readily come to mind in objectively considering if the threat should have been issued at all:
1.Are Christians being targeted and killed? Answer is yes.
2.Are non Christians (Muslims etc) being killed? Answer is yes.
3.Who are those doing the killings? Terrorists shouting Islamic slogans.
4.Has any group killed people in the name of Christianity. Answer is no.
5.Have any groups publicly claimed responsibility for these killings? Answer is yes: Islamiist extremist groups like Boko Haram and ISIS.
6.Who have been raising alarms about the killings? Non Muslims mostly.
7.Have Muslims/Muslim leaders come out to condemn the killings? Not as much as non Muslims.
8.Which groups have presented their cases to the international community/especially the United States? Nigerian non Muslims (most specifically Christian groups).
9.Why have Muslim groups not complained about the killings as much as their Christian counterparts have done, especially since statistics show that more Muslims may have been killed in the reign of terror in Northern Nigeria? Answer is “reasons not known”.
10.So whose petitions is America responding to? Nigerian Christians.
11.Who will be victims of an American invasion? All Nigerians, both Christians, Muslims, and others.
12.Who is the target of President Trump’s invasion threat? Terrorists using religious cover.
13.If terrorists are extinguished from the Nigerian space who will benefit? All Nigerians, Christians, Muslims, and the rest.
14.Have Nigerians been desirous of a country free of terrorists, bandits, and religious extremists? Yes.
15.Why has 14 not been achieved? Reader to provide answer!
Based on the foregoing SHOULD AMERICA INVADE NIGERIA IF THINGS DO NOT CHANGE APPRECIABLY SOONEST?
