Chief Henry Ogli Otowo is a Peace Ambassador, a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), and the Chairman/CEO of Emiene Intertrade Limited. He is a retired Director from the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC).
Education and Professional Background:
Chief Henry Ogli Otowo’s educational foundation includes attending Nigeria’s foremost University of Ibadan (UI), the famous Government College Keffi, as well as the St. Andrew’s Primary/Practicing School in Otukpo, Central Nigeria. In Keffi, young Henry was such a strong defender in the College football team that he was variously nicknamed “Horse Power” by his teeming admirers. The academic background at UI underpins a long and distinguished career in international trade and diplomacy.

He held various diplomatic roles, including Trade Commissioner in Brussels, Belgium, and Commercial Attaché in Warsaw, Poland, and East Berlin, East Germany.

Other engagements included his involvement in the non-oil export sector in Nigeria where he previously served as the Chairman of the Award Committee for the Nigerian Non-oil Exports Conference, Exhibition and Awards (NNECEA), Oversaw and co-ordinated the establishment of the Common Facility Centre (CFC) for Leather and
Allied Products in Otukpo, Benue State, Headed the production of One-State-One Product (OSOP) policy document for the Federal
Government, coordinated and supervised the conclusion and implementation of the Standards and Trade Development Facility
(STDF) project 172 nationwide,
Member, National Quality Infrastructure Project (NQIP) for Nigeria aimed at establishing Nigeria’s
National Accredition System (NINAS), Initiated and Co-ordinated the Inter-Agency Committee on Zero Reject, a strategic initiative aimed at
ensuring compliance with EU requirements for import of Nigeria’s agri products. He had also served as Director of Nigeria’s National Pavilions at three (3) World Universal

Expositions in Sevilla, Spain, 1992, Hanover, Germany, 2000, Aichi, Nagoya, Japan, 2005.

Having meritoriously served his fatherland as an Ambassador of repute wherever he worked, Chief Henry Ogli Otowo is now happily retired and lives in Nigeria where he is a Consultant on international trade, with emphasis on export promotions and development. He also engages in farming and agricultural trade. He is presently the Chairman of Mixed Culture Restaurant and Catering Services in Abuja, as well as the Chief Executive Officer of Emiene Intertrade Limited.
