The Ochotukpo Odu His Royal Highness Chief Dr John Onuminya Eimonye has distributed palliatives to widows of Otukpo district under the aegis of his pet project; Otukpo Widows Foundation.
In a brief ceremony at his Otukpoicho palace on Wednesday 13th March 2024, the royal father who was represented by Honourable Owoicho Anyebe, the executive secretary of the foundation, assisted by Chief Udeh Adole and Pastor Ocheche Ogwuche said the gesture was his little way of supporting widows in the wake of the hardship being experienced in the country.
Over 200 widows across various villages in Otukpo District got cash gifts each as well as foodstuffs.
Speaking on behalf of the widows, Mrs. Ochacho Okpani said they were elated and deeply appreciate the Ochotukpo Odu for always standing up for them, saying after his usual welfare at Christmas, they never expected anything else from him at this critical time.
